Monelle Wells
Associate Director - Occupancy Management
I do this work because it brings me joy to know that I’m helping students and their families get the best on campus experience. Many times when I’m talking with a student or parent, I think back to my experiences living on campus and how I can make that transition easier for them. It’s worth taking that extra moment to find a connection. They remember it and so do I.
"I’ve learned that living on campus provides such a great connection to all the happenings on campus. There are many ways to get involved and resources that are offered. Sometimes you don’t realize what’s happening just around the corner from where you’re living." -Monelle
My Background
I lived in upstate New York- Ogdensburg. It’s literally on the US and Canada border. You can take the bridge over to Canada, kind of like going from LSU to West Baton Rouge on the Mississippi River Bridge.
If I didn't have this job, I would be a
Professional cake decorator. I’m self-taught but I’d love to take some classes from celebrity bakers. I applied to Food Network’s Baking Challenge once.
