LSU Tigers Shine on Game Shows, Winning Big and Bringing Tiger Spirit to National TV
February 10, 2025
From the halls of LSU to the bright lights of national television, two proud Tigers recently showcased their talents on some of America’s most iconic game shows.
Nickolas Day on ‘The Price is Right’
Nickolas Day, who earned both his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in Communication Disorders from LSU, took his energy and enthusiasm to “The Price is Right” on January 29, where he became a major winner.
Nick’s experience on the show was nothing short of thrilling.
“The most exciting part about "The Price is Right" is the taping itself. It truly feels like you have crawled into your television set when you're in the studio,” he said.
His big moment came when he spun the iconic wheel, landing on $1.00 and winning a $10,000 bonus spin before advancing to the Showcase Showdown. There, he won a brand-new car, a trip to Las Vegas, and additional cash prizes.

Nick’s LSU pride was evident on stage as he wore a purple shirt and even had the chance to share a “Geaux Tigers” moment with LSU alum and “Price is Right” model Rachel Reynolds.
“The LSU bond knows no bounds,” he said.
Now working as a speech-language pathologist at Leland High School in San Jose, California, Nick plans to use some of his winnings to enjoy his well-earned Vegas trip.
This wasn’t Nick’s first game show experience—he also appeared on “Wheel of Fortune” in 2023, where he finished in second place.
Morgan Harris on ‘Wheel of Fortune’
Another Tiger, Morgan Harris, took center stage on “Wheel of Fortune” on January 27. As a former LSU cheerleader, Morgan is no stranger to high-energy environments, but stepping onto the game show stage was an entirely new experience.
“The energy in the room was electric. I thought nothing could compare to Death Valley on a Saturday night, but being on ‘Wheel of Fortune’ was a whole different level,” she said.
Morgan embraced the nerves and excitement, using the skills she gained from LSU cheerleading—confidence, enthusiasm, and the ability to perform under pressure—to navigate the fast-paced game.

When asked why she thought she was chosen as a contestant, Morgan credited her personality and natural energy.
“I went in just being myself: enthusiastic, fun, and maybe a little competitive! LSU fans know how to bring the excitement.”
She said her time at LSU was instrumental in shaping who she is today.
“LSU isn’t just a university—it’s a family. The pride, the traditions, the way Tigers support each other no matter where life takes them—it’s something really special. Whether it’s on a football field, a game show stage, or in my career, LSU has given me a foundation that I’ll always carry with me.”
