Professor Ahmed is an assistant professor in the Stephenson Department of Entrepreneurship & Information Systems of the E. J. Ourso College of Business at Louisiana State University. He received his Ph.D. in Business Administration with a concentration in Management Information Systems from the University of Massachusetts Lowell. His research focuses on organizational issues at the intersection of information technology (IT) and business risk management. Particularly, he studies information security economics, crowdsourced vulnerability discovery, platform economy, public health policy, and online reputation systems. He has published in Decision Support Systems, Frontiers in Public Health, and the proceedings of the various premier information systems conferences, including ICIS, CIST, DRW, AMCIS, HICSS, and DSI.
