Biography
Dr. Vanessa Ann Claus is a passionate educator who is committed to student learning, growth, and development. She truly believes that she has the best job, as she is constantly learning from her students, colleagues, and others. Vanessa believes in the importance of lifelong learning and tries to reach every student where they are.
In addition to her passion for education, Vanessa has a passion for interior design. She has owned and operated a brick-and-mortar design business, which was located in downtown Grand Rapids, Michigan. She also owned an online dissertation consulting business. Vanessa believes that people can have various passions (even outside of their area of expertise).
Vanessa remains committed to engaging in pro bono consulting work with nonprofit organizations. While she has published in journals and in conference proceedings, her true passion (now) is educating students. She enjoys getting to know her students, engaging in the online classroom, and helping individuals find their ideal career path.
