SRNR/FWF Featured by LSU Alumni Association
July 03, 2024
The LSU School of Renewable Natural Resources/Forestry Wildlife and Fisheries Alumni Association (SRNR/FWF AA) has been featured in the LSU Alumni Association newsletter, along with two other LSU Alumni Affinity Chapters. View the newsletter.
The SRNR/FWF AA seeks to bring together alumni for the advancement of forestry, wildlife and fisheries related fields in natural resource ecology and management, to improve the standing of graduates in their respective professions, and to support the School through recruiting and mentoring of students and development of scholarships and internships.
Each year, the SRNR/FWF AA hosts receptions for new graduates, student awards, professional lectures, and our Hall of Fame induction. This spring we conducted our first annual Bioblitz at Burden Museum and Gardens, where over 80 students, faculty, and alumni identified over 400 species of birds, mammals, reptiles, amphibians, fish, aquatic invertebrates, insects, and native trees, grasses, and forbs.
Donations to SRNR/FWF AA are also used to support emergency financial needs for SRNR students, as well as travel funds for students to participate in professional conferences and conclaves.
